Sober in the Sun is a volunteer based organization made up of members from the LGBT recovery community. This organization produces events which include, but are not limited to, workshops, panels, service meetings, assemblies, sober social gatherings, and an annual four day roundup for individuals in recovery and their significant others. The roundup known as Sober in the Sun is held in Palm Springs of Riverside County, California.
Sober in the Sun Inc. is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Sober in the Sun, Inc. are deductible under section 170 of the Code. Sober in the Sun, Inc. is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code.
